西門六妻瓶兒薄命， 葬禮博大。

 

西門遵循佛教做七， 七天一祭，長達35天

二七：玉皇廟道官施法

三七：永福寺道士念經

四七：趙喇嘛阿彌托福

五七：施水火交煉亡靈    

 

辭靈儀式空前絕後， 二百軍陣， 弓馬全裝，填街塞巷，親屬堂客，轎子上百， 人山人海，殯壓帝京。

 

西門大哭不止伴靈搭床宿夜，當晚在瓶兒靈房像前，跟奶媽如意雲雨不勝歡愉。

 

正值吊念，中央來山東東視察，省領導要西門做東， 西門買單千人宴，心酸悲楚戀魂香。

 

Ximen’s 6th wife Ping dies young, but her memorial services last long. There is a ritual every seventh day, on the 2nd 7th day, the chief monk from Jade Temple leads chanting…on the 3rd the monk from Forever Lucky Temple comes chanting…on the 4th Zhao Lama comes praying…28 days later it’s a Farewell Ceremony.  There are 200 troupes riding horses, fully filling in the lanes of the street, over 100 relatives in carts, hundreds of thousands people cover the town, a bigger ceremony than a royal event.

 

Ximen cannot stop crying, has a bed setup in the funeral hall in front of Ping’s painting, that night, he slept with Ruyi, the nursing mom for his son.

 

During the 4th Seven of the memorial ritual, the capitol officials visit Shandong Province.  The Province officials requests Ximen to host the reception in his house,   Ximen entertains 1,000 people dinner in his house, but his heart is with Ping.
