Places to go on Oahu

1. Snorkel at Haunama bay. Advance reservation might required. No bus. Either rent a car or call taxi. Parking free. Entry fee is required.

2. Pearl Harbor. It might need advance reservations. Check the website. Entry fee is required.  Bus available. There is also a bus which bring you to the island across the visitor center. When I asked, it was too late for us to go. 

3. Snorkel at Shark's cove. Bus available. Parking on the roadside. Make sure that you arrive in the morning. Wave is strong in the afternoon, also it stirs the sand and make it hard to see anything. The ride along the coastline from Waikiki to Shark's cove is pretty. 

4. Diamond head trail. The rewarding is the view at the top.

5. Magic lagoon area.

5. The beach next to Hilton Hawaii Waikiki Beach resort. It has a very shallow pool. Also a nice place to watch sunset. Sometime there is show hosted by Hilton by the beach.

food at Waikiki beach is just amazing. Except for a Chinese food we ordered for taking out, everything else we ate there were amazing. 

Honolulu is a city, so car rental is not a must since public transportation is quite convenient. You can also find a lot of rental bike stand at Waikiki. In my experience, buying a bike rental plan really worths it.

May go: Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden. Park is closed at 4 pm. We missed it. It is on the way to Shark's cove. 

Friends told me that there was a tax free shopping mall at Waikiki. I missed it, though I did go to a mall and found many pretty clothes. But we did not buy them LOL.
