OK. Just treated myself to a 7-mile recovery run.

The wonderful feeling yesterday continued and, armed with my
brand-new Garmin 10, I went for a jog after giving my son
breakfast and putting the soaked beans on the stove for
simmering.
It was a cloudy morning, the breeze was barely noticeable,
and the temperature was just right. I locked into a slow
pace and never tried to pick up speed, keeping thinking
easy. I saw people and families walking, cycling, and
jogging. I saw vultures working on their food, a dead
squirrel, on the trail. I paid close attention to my form
and breathing. I sweat like crazy but never felt tired. At
the end, I still had the gas to go for a sprint. Of course I
didn't do anything like that, more mindful of possible
injuries at this moment. It was great. I look forward to the
next run, whenever that will be.
