9月10日，查理·柯克被謀殺。右翼人士沒有焚燒建築物、製造騷亂或向汽車投擲石塊，而是張貼經文、祈禱、唱讚美詩，祈求和平與治癒。
左翼人士則幸災樂禍、冷嘲熱諷。
