I saw my son Evan eventually.

My parents took Evan to the airport so that I could see him at the first time. When I held Evan in my arms, I did not feel he was as big as I expected. He looked bigger and stronger in pictures and through webcam. So those tools really cheated me. I thought he would cry when I held him for I was somehow a stronger to him since he left me for China in last February. Surprisingly, he did not. He looked at me for a few seconds then held my neck with his soft arms. Oh, My God! That was the happiest moment I have ever had. He did know me and remember me! The blood is definitely thicker than water!

Evan and I got along with each other much better in the following days. When we went to visit relatives, he always clinged to me. When he was asked where Mom was, he would point at me with his cute index finger. He used to look at the computer in the morning and waited for his Mom showing up. Now he knws he does not need because his Mom is with him. He is able to walk by himself although not very steadly. Whenever he is scared by the unbalance due to a little step or a bump, he will throw himself into my arms and seek for comfort. My parents are jealous of me because Evan permits me with my glasses but not them. Ha, HE IS MY SON!

One big challenge is Evan has got used to sleep with his grandparents. He woke up last night and found it was me instead of grandparents and started to cry. I told him softly that grandparents were sleeping and would play with him in the morning. Evan seemed to understand and stopped crying so that I could cuddle and hum him to sleep. I was touched at that moment for his understanding and cooperation. I was sure he would greet me with his adorable smile as usual in the morning.

You may never know how smart a baby is. The baby is always much more intelligent than what we adults think. Evan is a happy and smart baby. He is also understanding and thoughtful.

He wakes up. I have to deal with him now. A happy task.
