除夜有懷 - 崔塗

迢遞三巴路，羈危萬裏身。

亂山殘雪夜，孤燭異鄉人。

漸與骨肉遠，轉於僮仆親。

那堪正飄泊，明日歲華新。

Contemplating on New Year’s Eve – Cui Tu

To Tri-Ba regions the road’s tedious,

A lengthy perilous journey I trudge.

Still snow-seized, the night peaks look hideous,

Alone, a candlelit stranger – I grudge

The gradual distance from my kith and kin,

Glad, my page and I grow akin I judge.

Alas, morrow, the New Year will begin,

This unbearable drift - my sigh won’t budge.
