《卜算子·詠梅》 （宋）陸遊 英譯

驛外斷橋邊，寂寞開無主。
  
已是黃昏獨自愁，更著風和雨。
   
無意苦爭春，一任群芳妒。
   
零落成泥碾作塵，隻有香如故。 
  
Ode to the Plum Blossom 
  
Outside a posthouse and by a ruined bridge,
A plum tree is blooming alone yet nobody sees.
  
In the dusk it feels gloomy,
Further in wind and rain it suffers.
  
Not willing to compete with flowers in spring,
Just let the others be envious.
   
Its petals may fall, become soil, and then dust, 
Its fragrance, however, stays.
