去年五月， 陪一童鞋逛MOMA, 即紐約現代藝術博物館，除看了裏麵的幾件鎮館之畫外，記得沒有其他很吸引人的東東。當 時拍了幾張在照放在手機裏。今翻看照片，倒是順手拍的一段話引起我的注意，這段話是：
What is Painting?
Do you sense all parts of a good picture are involved with each other. Not just placed side by side?
Art is a creation for the eye and can only be hinted at with words.
我決定把這段話翻譯成漢語：
什麽是繪畫？
你感受到一幅好的繪畫其每一部分都是彼此交融，而非堆切的嗎？
(繪畫）藝術是為視覺而創造。蓋僅用語言喻其所寓也。
對藝術作品，我們習慣了隻能意會， 不能言傳，但作者在這裏明確地說，藝術也要 求用語言去表達（hint at)
這是個 很 高的要求！
