近日看城中這麽多讀書人讀這麽多的書，敬佩之心難以言表。又看到有人認為書的世界太虛無，現實中的醜女才會寫簡愛。
其實不正是仁者見仁智者見智，才讓這世界如此豐富多彩嗎？
碰巧在《讀者》的微博看到這段話，覺得很有智慧。 我們為什麽要讀書？
那作家為什麽要寫作呢？
Neil Gaiman 在為《Fahrenheit 451》（Ray Bradbury ）寫的前言的第一句話就說，Sometime writers write about a world that does not yet exist. We do it for a hundred reasons....Because we need to illuminate a path we hope or we fear humanity will take. Because the world of the future seems more enticing or more interesting than the world of today. Because we need to warn you. To encourage, To examine. To imagine.
這大概就是文藝作品的魅力所在吧。
形形色色的芸芸眾生，有人現實，對文藝作品嗤之以鼻，因為 at the end of the day ， you need a bread to survive。
有人浪漫，麵包不是他人生的全部。
但，古人早已說了，倉廩實而知禮儀，衣食足而知榮辱。形而上的東西，是人類特有的更上一層樓的境界。
