115屆波士頓馬拉鬆點滴
本人有幸參加者2011年度舉行的115屆波士頓馬拉鬆. 比賽途中拍攝了120多幅照片. 2013年的波士頓馬拉鬆大賽在即, 應一位即將前往波士頓參賽的朋友之約. 本人將一部分照片上載到Facebook, 並 在文學城與其他網友共享. 祝願所有參賽波馬的朋友成功!
從Athletes’ Village (Hopkinton High School)出發, 沿著Grove St.前往起跑線.
起跑前, 最後一次排隊上廁所.
在起跑線等待發令, 10:20 ET Wave 2, Corral 4. 
進入Ashland後, 大概在Mile 3和Mile 4之間.
經過Framingham的AMTRAK火車站前, 大概是6英裏的樣子.
這裏是Natick, Mile 8 或Mile 9.
這是第一個Newton Hill, I-95號州際高速公路從下麵穿過.
來到Heartbreak Hill坡下, Commonwealth Ave. 與 Grant Ave.
勝利翻越Heartbreak Hill, 來到Boston College門前 (Mile 21)

波士頓學院門前. Mile 21 (One of my favorite landmarks)
再往前路左邊就能見到波士頓城鐵MBTA的鐵軌, 已經進入波士頓的City Limit.
這一帶叫Cleveland Circle, 由Chestnut Hill Ave拐入Beacon St.. 前麵即將進入波市外圍的Brookline鎮.
Mile 24 地標就在Beacon St.和Charles St.路口.
再次進入波士頓城界. 路左邊是Ruggles浸信會教堂. 勝利在望: 前方的Citgo石油公司紅色三角形商標距離finish line還有大約一英裏. 那個地方叫Kenmore Square. 到那兒還要爬個小坡.
又回到Commonwealth Ave. 這兒是Charlesgate E街口. “The Pru”遙遙在望.
從Commonwealth Ave向右拐入Hereford St. 正對著的是Hynes會議中心(就是波馬Expo的地方).
在左轉就是Boylston St. Finish line就在前麵5-6百米的地方. 衝刺的時候到了!
I apologize for the quality of those photos, partly due to the camera I used – it lacked the essential VR (vibration reductions) function. The other troublesome attribute was the long shutter delay, causing distortions of some of images. But, the compactness, light weight, waterproof feature of this camera outweighed other drawbacks.
The idea of taking pictures along the way was to heed the advice of my coach, who guided me through my BQ journey: “For your first Boston Marathon, run 1 minute slower than the pace you could, to enjoy the course, landmarks, and the crowds”. Taking pictures slowed me down, but only by a few seconds per mile. No one I knew of had done that. So the experience was unique, certainly memorable.
