在麻州西北著名的觀賞秋葉 Mohawk Trail 上 （2號路西北段）有一個美麗的小山鎮叫 Shelburne Fall。之前並不了解，旅遊書上這樣說，小鎮值得一停，可作小歇，喝杯咖啡，隨意走走。最近新英格蘭地區陰雨連連，最佳觀葉季節就這樣被雨打風吹去了。不甘心，周末起個大早，趕往 Mohawk Trail。從Boston 開兩個多小時後，第一站便在 Shelburne Fall 落腳，本來如書上所說，隻想停一停，伸伸胳膊腿，再弄杯咖啡上路。不想眼前一亮，心裏打了好幾個驚歎號。清晨雲霧繚繞, 正是日出時間，可惜少有陽光，聞著濕濕的山野空氣，清爽舒服，四處走走拍拍，不覺呆了幾個小時。鎮子不大，兩大特色，慢慢道來。

（一）花橋 The Bridge of Flowers

多孔橋，一座窄窄的歩行橋，不走車輛，其上種滿了各種鮮花，春夏天來走走這橋會更美，山城的第一特色。眼前的畫麵讓我有回到中國的感覺。The World Famous Bridge of Flowers.  In 2009, 34,346 visitors from around the globe walked over the Bridge of Flowers and signed the guestbooks - a 62.8% increase over the previous year! All 50 states were represented in the 2009 season while the number of foreign countries/islands was 91.
