A rose is unwillingly withering
as if a shooting star is seeing the end of the trail
Yet a thorn stays on
breaking quite a few more dew drops
as they are so sentimental for the withering rose
morning and night
The thorn did not even lose much hardness
with its dying branch
he knew the lose petals already started praying
for return of the next life
he might just be luck enough
to witness the petals morph back to the rose
