Words are useful
to freeze the time
in some moments we could not reproduce
in some emotions we could not wade through again
or for seconds younger youth we could not return
or for treasures we are afraid of losing if we speak out
They almost serve as deposit slips to the memory bank
something one could at least go back and revisit
even the waves of our little sea of our hearts
A sail boat could dash right out sometimes
to replay the journey we've been through
if they laid out sufficient detail of the routes once taken
On the other hand they leave something out
for later re-imagining how to relive those lovely moments
in different ways perhaps
when we could not physically move
