64. Show Some Emotions

I gave my 9th speech at our Toastmaster Club today, trying to persuade my fellow toastmasters to double the meeting frequency. While I thought I had given very good reasons and presented a plan to make it work, the key feedback was that I had not shown much enthusiasm or emotions and that, without enthusiasm or authentic emotions, my persuasion was not "with power". This may be the best and most useful feedback I have received in the Toastmasters so far. From now on, I'll not hold back my feelings as much and show some emotions from time to time. Hopefully nobody gets scared.
