Tesla said it delivered 139,300 vehicles in the third quarter this year.
According to a survey of analysts by FactSet, as of Wednesday, analyst expected deliveries of around 137,000. (Their estimates ranged from 123,000 to 147,000 deliveries.)
Tesla shares were down more than 5% after the report in a market sell-off sparked by President Trump’s diagnosis that he has Covid-19.
