particular; especial; special
particular著重指同類事物中某一個具有獨特性質的事例，
是相當“一般”而言的“特殊”、“特定”。如：
On that particular day the stores are closed．
在特定的那一天店鋪都關了門。（平時沒有這種現象）
special和especial都有“特殊的，特別的”之意。
如： What are your special interests？
你有些什麽特別的愛好？
Collecting stamps is a matter of especial interest．
集郵是特別有趣的事。
不同的是，special還有“專門的，額外的”的意思。如：
You need a special tool to do that．幹那個活兒要用專用工具。
Take special care of it．對這東西要特別細心。
