錦上添花 Icing on the cake

製作西式糕點最後一道工序，就是在糕點上灑上或塗上一層白色的冰淇淋，叫做icing on the cake，在俚語當中icing on the cake意思是使一件原本已經很好的事物變得更加的美好，也就是錦上添花。When one great thing happens, then another great thing happens on top of it, the second thing is the icing on the cake.
此外，Icing on the cake 也常在NBA比賽上用到，比如在比賽最後還剩下三秒鍾時候，一方投中了三分球將比分差距拉到了5分，讓對方沒有回天之力時，就可以用這個短語來表示勝負已見分曉。

He adds that he donates his business profits to charities because it's icing on the cake.
他補充說，因為從經商中獲得的利潤隻是錦上添花而已，所以他把商業收入都捐給慈善事業。
