I just came back from Niagara Falls. We went there for 2 nights. This is our second trip to the falls as a family. The falls were still the same. But it felt a lot different this time. The last time we went there, there were a lot of excitement and anticipation on my part. I remember we got there in the afternoon, and took a walk along the shore. I saw a rainbow hanging over the falls. This time around, everything seems a matter of fact. I know what I was going to see. I still have fond memories of the place. But the excitement was gone.
My son wants to do 2 things, playing with his friends or playing video games. Since seeing the falls is not one of them, he was very fussy. He kept saying he wanted to go home immedietely. Maybe it is too early for him to appreciate the natural beauties. I will take a break from the thankless job of planning vacations.
The summer is almost over. I will get back to hiking on Fridays soon.
