其中有一包程序，要求用戶以秒來規定某些時間段，比如從收到訂單到執行發貨之間的時間。時間一過，就當作無法供貨處理，係統自動通知買方訂單已被取消。

客戶的抱怨便來了。

“ What the heck is happening here? I received an order. I went to the shelf to get the item. I came back to my terminal, ready to process the order. And the order was gone! ”

“ The answer to your question can be found on page 37025 of the latest User Manual. It says that the time span between the time when the order is received and the time when it is fulfilled is configured by SECONDS. ”

“ Are you kidding me? Is there a reason why you guys decided to do the seconds? ”

聽到這個問題，我對著電話翻了個白眼，認真地歎了一口氣，才誠懇地對他說：“ Yeh, because life is short, Rick. Time is ticking away by seconds. ”

他笑著，跟剛才突然出現一樣，現在又突然消失。
