都知道中國的言論自由還受到諸多限製，網絡監管有點過於嚴格，尤其是關於政治方麵的言論，在網絡上過濾得太嚴，以致像憨哥這樣老實本分的人，因為長年居住在國外，思想跟不上一片大好形勢，不能與胡哥保持高度一致，所以帖子時常也是要被刪除的，心裏自然感覺很不爽。如今，國內的網站已經很少去了，咱現在沒事兒就上美國和加拿大的網站，至少文學城至今沒有刪除過我的帖子，自我感覺還是很愜意的。那麽，美國的網站和論壇真的就自由了嗎？你可曾仔細看過美國網站和論壇的相關條款？
自由和民主是相對而言的。在美國的網站，同樣有許多的限製。刪除帖子和評論，也是家常便飯，屏蔽詞匯也是在所難免。像是大家都喜歡看的美女隱約露點圖片，在國內都沒人管，在這裏，如果在非色情網站出現或者貼在網站提供的私人圖片庫裏，即便你隻是給自己看，也不行，或者被立即刪除或者會收到一封警告信，要你自己立即刪除，如果不然，你要承擔一切的後果。某個層麵上，美國的網絡監管，甚至比國內還嚴。一旦吃上官司，一樣會麵臨牢獄之災。前不久有一位美國婦女，因為網上辱罵網友被判有罪（題圖），已經開了先例，大家都知道，在美國，判例是法官參照的重要依據，怕是以後這樣的案件會更多。

第2條的意思是說該論壇不打算為論壇導致的任何不良後果承擔任何間接、直接、附帶等任何責任。包括論壇本身出了毛病無法打開閱覽，等等。一句話，法律免責。

LiberalForum.org reserves the right to suspend or terminate any member, or ban/block any member or user from our forum or any other area of our website, without providing a justification or notice if we feel it is in the best interest of our web community. LiberalForum.org If we suspend, terminate or ban you from our site and/or forum, and you attempt to circumvent this measure and regain access by registering under a new screen name or identity or any other method, we will construe this action by you as a form of unauthorized trespass. 第4條說得是論壇的帖子，大概意思是該論壇是一個公開的論壇，你在此張貼的任何東西都被公開，因此當你透露一些私人的東西或者專業的東西的時候，你自己要仔細考慮，謹慎行事，你發表的東西代表你的觀點，並不代表論壇的觀點。
5. Copyright. You may NOT submit/post any writing, pictures or any other information ("works") on our forum if by doing so you would violate the intellectual property rights of a third party. Chances are that if you did not create the works yourself --or they are not widely known as being in the public domain -- someone else has copyright protection in those works. It is your responsibility to post works that are not in violation of federal, state and international intellectual property laws. 6. Code of Conduct. You must abide by our Code of Conduct:
A. Adhere to Forum Designations . There are certain areas of the board that allow participation from both Members (Liberals) and Non-Liberals. However, the "Liberals-Only" area is reserved for Members who already agree on basic principles and philosophy. Non-Liberals are not permitted to participate in areas designated for Members. Because this is a Liberal board, newly registered users are put in the Members category. Users who do not identify themselves as Liberals must send an email to info@liberalforum.org requesting that their designation be changed to Non-Liberal.

B. Be Civil . Don't use language that lowers the tone from that you would see on a television show (ie, "Crossfire" or "Politically Incorrect"). Attacking your opponent personally is not appropriate. What is considered civil in heated political discourse? For example, don't say "you're an idiot." Instead, you can say "that's an idiotic position." Criticizing aspects of people that are beyond their control, such as their race, gender, economic status, etc., are NOT acceptable.
(1) Flaming. You are not allowed to post messages where rudeness, obscenity, hatred, vulgarity, or any other "flaming" is directed at other users. Flaming that is directed at a moderator or admin will be met with swift and strict action.
(2) Excessive Profanity. While you may use profanity lightly as a mere exclamation to further express yourself or to underscore a point, you may not use excessive profanity in your posts.
(3) Adult Material. Adult material is strictly prohibited. You may not post or link to any adult and/or obscene material.
(4) Spam. You may not post messages that promote commercial products or services, or any form of self-promotion. This includes affiliate links or links to your own products or services. You may contact us to report spam at info@liberalforum.org .
規則B大概意思是說要講文明禮貌，不要有過“火”和偏激的政治語言，進行人身攻擊等，比如，不要說“你是白癡”，但你可以說“這是一個十分愚蠢的觀點”。不能夠批評人們超出了他們控製的方麵，比如種族，性別，當前經濟狀況等等，如果你這麽做，就有可能被禁止。可能被禁止的還有，粗俗不雅，不尊敬他人，成人淫穢資料，廣告和垃圾郵件等。
C. Be Sincere. Don't post just to get people riled up. Don't disrupt the purpose of the forum, which is to foster genuine, and where possible, constructive dialogue between people of opposing ideologies.
(1) Misrepresentation. Do not post messages that contain intentional misrepresentation of facts, or intentionally distort the truth. If you present information where a material element of that message directly contradicts something you have said earlier, please be prepared to justify the change of information.
(2) Misdirection. Do not change the subject of a thread or post or otherwise misdirect a discussion.
(3) Identity. Do not pretend to be another user/member or otherwise lie about your identity.
規則C說的是要真誠，不要觸犯眾怒；不要擾亂論壇的目的，是在盡可能的情況下，促進人與人之間在不同意識形態和思想領域真誠、建設性地對話。更不要造謠，虛假陳述、歪曲事實；不要誤導，不要偽裝自己的身份。
7. Deletion, Modification or Moving of Posts/Threads. LiberalForum.org reserves the right to remove any forum posting that its admin or moderators consider inappropriate or in poor taste. LiberalForum.org. Our decision as to what we will delete will be completely subjective. In addition, we may edit, modify, or move your posts/threads at our sole discretion and at any time without notice to you.
第7條的意思是論壇的管理者和版主有權在不事先通知你的情況下，有權刪除、修改或者移動你的貼子，版主們做這些事情的時候完全是憑主觀的（subjective），隻要版主認為你的貼子不合適，或者不合自己的胃口。（博主點評：看來這裏你也不能夠抱怨版主不公平，不客觀，他們想怎樣做就可以怎樣做，你愛來不來。）
8. Severability: If any provision in this agreement is held to be unenforceable by a court of law or equity, this agreement shall be construed as if such provision did not exist and the unenforceable provision shall not be held to render any other provision of this agreement unenforceable.
第8條的意思是如果本協議中的任何條款被法律上裁決為沒有約束力，那相關條款自然就失效了。
