Nicholas composed this piece right after his 9th birthday. He and his dad performed this year at his recital.

Nicholas won the Young Composer’s award from the National Association for Music Education in Madison WI， April 2008. He was one of 22 winners nationwide, and was the youngest. Most contestants were in high school or college.
