Normal Blood Flow: Normal Blood Flow Through the Pulmonic Valve

module230_024-024a%20final.jpg

The parasternal short-axis, the parasternal RV outflow, and the subcostal views show blood flow through the pulmonic valve. Normal RVOT, in systole and the bifurcation of the main pulmonary artery image in this view. An enhanced velocity map makes the blood flow moving away from the transducer primarily blue. The smooth progression from light blue to yellow indicates high velocity signals that have aliased. The blood flow is laminar, indicated by a smooth transition from blue to yellow.
