My son Ethan turned 3 today.
His language pattern has changed so much since last week. The following conversations would be going on over and over throughout the day.
Ethan: Mommy, are you a slowpoke? Mommy; No. Are you? E: No. Is Daddy sometimes a slowpoke? Haha... M: Hmn...maybe E: Is Xiao Miemie a slowpoke? (haha...hehe...LOL all by himself for no reasons)
E: Mommy, are you stupid? M: Hmn...Ethan, that is not a nice question. We don't want to use that word. We don't want to hurt people's feelings. E: Okay, Mommy, I'm not saying you're stupid. The next morning, "mommy, I'm not saying stupid." That's a good boy
E: Mommy, are you rich? (Lightning McQueen's line from Disney's Cars movie) M: Well, yes. Because I have you, Xiao Meimei and Daddy. E. Daddy, are you rich? D: Yes, because I have Ethan, Xiao Meimei and Mommy. Both Mommy and Daddy: we're all rich in some ways, becuase we have each other, right? E: Yeah, we're rich. (Happy ending)
E: Mommy, are you poke-laiky? (his own word) M: (looking puzzled) What's poly-laiky? E: Haha...
E: Mommy, are you super duperp poke laiky? Haha...
Mommy: Come on over here, my silly boy. He'd come over and give me a big hug and a wet kiss, Mommy, I love you!
