以前介紹過這位大師的彈奏(可聽貝多芬第五).她和Sofronitsky,肖斯塔科維奇三人奠定了蘇聯在二十年代的鋼琴界的地位. 這個莫紮特演奏大概是最傳奇的錄音---斯大林臨死前正好在放著.同時這個錄音的產生也和斯大林有關. 肖斯塔科維奇回憶錄說斯大林統治下的蘇聯是一個瘋人院.他就用這個錄音作為例子. 斯大林某次(1943)在收音機裏聽到尤金娜和莫斯科電台樂團現場演奏的轉播,下令手下把錄音送來.當然一般現場是不錄音的. 他手下也沒敢跟他說.就暗地裏布置讓她和樂團當晚到錄音棚裏去趕製.那時已經是晚上10點了. 樂團指揮因為怕演奏錯誤,簡直被嚇暈了,連打拍子都錯誤百出. 隻得把候補指揮從家裏拉來,此君醉得樂譜都看不清,隻能送回家. 再去找來了一個年輕的助手.那時已經是淩晨.幸虧初生牛犢不怕虎,他也熟悉此鋼協.尤金娜和整個樂團一鼓作氣頭一次和他合作完整的彈奏了下來.所以就有了這麽一個傳奇的錄音.第二天斯大林得到了這個錄音. 不過故事還沒完. 斯大林對錄音非常滿意,當然他不知道裏麵的曲折,特地給尤金娜送去了兩萬盧布. 尤金娜是一個猶太家庭出身但轉信俄國東正教的教徒,非常虔誠. 一直對斯大林共黨宗教壓迫政策非常不滿.她就寫了這麽一個回條: "尊敬的約瑟夫: I wish to thank you for your most generous gift and express to you how much it touched my heart. I will continue to pray for you and your soul every day and every night for the rest of my life. Please remember thatGod's love for you is as infinite as His mercy, and if you but confess and repent He will forgive your many sins against our homeland and our countrymen."Once again, I wish to thank you for your gift. I have donated it in its entirity to the church which I regularly attend.Most sincerely, Maria V.
