I drive past EBay almost everyday. From the outside you can't tell that CEO, Meg Whitman is nervous, wary, maybe even scared of Google.

But she is.

Google seems to be planning a foray into e-commerce.

According to Whitman, who made a  presentation yesterday, Google is a threat because of its huge online product data base known as Google Base and its payment service called Google Account.

But that's not the only thing that worries Whitman. Ebay's stock has dropped almost 30 percent this year - because of slow growth and stiff competition in two Asia markets
