聖誕節的吉祥物很多，除了經典的聖誕老人外，還有動物，其中鹿是最常見的。像童話般的，聖誕老人一般都是坐在幾匹小鹿駕馭的漂亮的小木車裏，從天而降。近年來，海豚和北極熊也成了聖誕吉祥物的新寵。雖然北極熊很大，但潔白的顏色，讓它們非常符合聖誕的季節，和飄落的大雪一樣，相映成趣。

到美國後，認識了一位上海來的美女服裝設計師。一般服裝設計師都是分專業的，如專門從事男裝設計，女裝設計，婚禮裝設計，或童裝設計，而我的這位朋友是男女裝和同性戀裝設計通吃。在克林頓時代經濟繁榮的日子裏，她的生意極好。每年的春夏秋冬四季，她都要去拉斯維加斯參加服裝秀，而每次去都必須有新設計和新產品，很不簡單。俺覺得做服裝和做科學研究很相[閱讀全文]

拉斯維加斯以show和buffet著稱。有一年在拉斯維加斯過聖誕節，覺得很新奇。每個酒店都有別具一格的節日裝，很有個性。為期一周的假日，吃了不少buffet，以永利韋恩拉斯維加斯度假村酒店（WynnResortLasVegas）的自助餐印象最深也最好吃！其實，吃飯除了food以外，就餐環境特重要。永利韋恩的餐廳環境讓俺覺得是人生的享受，非常特別的experience。先來看看餐廳的樣子吧！

記得數年前的一個春天裏，俺一家驅車南下，在高速公路開了約一個半多小時，來到一個漂亮的海濱小城，名叫考斯貝(Carlsbad),這裏有著名的花田(Theflowerfields),據說這裏是觀花的最高境界。因為這裏產的各色Ranunculus花的品種和質量是得到美國玫瑰花協會最高榮譽獎的!俺全家在花田是一飽眼福,流連忘返,回味無窮。。。陶醉之際，無意中在花田一側發現有一個聖誕花博物館，[閱讀全文]
