My nomination was in the discipline of Choral Music, specifically alto singing, at Governor’s School West, where the focus was on exploring the human experience through choral music, emphasizing 20th and 21st-century compositions. This four-week residential session also offered courses in critical thinking and self-awareness (Areas II and III) and STEM courses in Math, enriching my understanding beyond music. The interdisciplinary environment at Governor’s School not only honed my artistic abilities but also broadened my intellectual and personal perspectives, academic enrichment, making it a truly transformative experience.
