Looking deeper in ME (AE is literall a specialty in ME).

One of the drawbacks of AE is that many positions prefer advanced degrees, even to PhDs. ME positions seem more accepting of a Bachelor's.

This is a bad time in the job market, which runs a cycle every 10-15 years.
