Strange setup

 

Next time, ask your husband to take your daughter outside of the classroom.  You talk with the teacher in private.  Think of the questions to ask before you go.

The presence of the pupil is a distraction.  The teacher is either unwilling or does not have much to say about her working with the student.

Your daughter is afraid of the teacher.

Your reaction only made it worse.  Think that this is about your daughter and her teacher.  The teacher successfully made it to be about you and your daughter, with help from you.

 

At dinner time, have her explain what she did in school during the day so she gets some practice.  Ask what the teacher said to her.
