medicaid 是給低收入人民的，不像medicare 是到65歲就可以拿，不論收入。

如果你父母拿medicaid, 說明他們沒有收入或低收入。如果你繼續claim them as your dependent, 那他們就不是 independent low income. As your dependent, you (therotically) need to support them, provide them food/shelter/medical etc.
