not hard to replace it, you can detach it, take it to a local motor shop, tell them its a condenser fan motor, they know what to do..

few things to keep in mind.
1. condenser fan motor is a seal motor,
2. HP, can go bigger but no smaller
3. must match capacitor, or you need a new capacitor, 5 uf most common, but check.
4. RPM need to same or higher.
5. shaft mostly 1/2", but check.
6. shaft length, they can cut for you.
7. rotation must match, either REV or CCW.
