they can put a lien, without a smallclain court's ruling

in CA, they should give a 20 day notice b4 filing a lien on ur property. when filing a lien with county, a proof of delivery to owner is required(certified mail reciept or hand delivery photo), so...you can play along or, my 2 cents, $150 is nothing, pay it.

Never put emotions in any business decision process...
