我查了一下，看到說”A security deposit must be refunded by the landlord to the  tenant within 30 days after the tenant surrenders the premises; however, the  landlord need  not return the deposit until the tenant gives the landlord a  written  statement of the tenant's forwarding address for the purpose of refunding the  deposit. “

這個written statement of forwarding address是必須的嗎？我不記得當時有沒有給過，因為我們搬到國外，可能沒有給。他們退的那部分deposit是轉到我們銀行賬戶裏的，以前交房租也是每個月轉賬到他們銀行裏，沒有寄過check什麽的。
