non government 457也不安全啊

10年前離開1公司，新公司沒有457，非政府457選擇留在那裏。現在公司有457.考慮轉過來。給2家financial inst打了很多電話。表也交了。今天原來公司financial inst說"you already made an election that is currently set start on 2040."所以不能做任何transfer or cash out.也不能改那個日期，隻能等到2040.

查了一下，還真是這樣。

Even though it’s 100% your contributions, legally it’s considered the employer’s asset with a liability to pay you later.

• If the employer goes bankrupt → you’re just another unsecured creditor.

• If the employer merges or is acquired → depends on whether the buyer assumes that liability.

 原來不知道457這麽不安全。
