their residency and investment properties, they usually have a large amount of line of credit, HELOC, easily 500K. In general, they can write themselves a check if needed.
By saying that, I don't encourage that, because that LOC is at the lender's disposal. In the crazy times of 2009, my lender, Citi Group, cancelled all the LOCs by zip code, including mine. It doesn't seem like they will do that again. But you are still at their mercy.
