Try to close 1:1 spread to lock in the profit first

I usally use 70-80% rule to lock in profit. And when stock turn around, you can close all position and just buy the stock directly. Since you already have the profit from 1:1, plus the original credit, you essentially buying stock at a huge discount.

Of course, if you are lucky, you could get assigned directly if option expires before stock rallies
