Yes. We like Vienna a lot, often used it as transit point

It is great to use the city as a stopping place for a few days between 2 long totally irrelevant trips because the in / out flights have a lot of options, plus the train links the airport and town center is super convenient. 

It also is a low cost city for such a class.  I dont know why, but it seems all German speaking places have much lower costs than other similar places in Western Europe, incl most of Italy and Spain that supposedly are cheap but NOT.
