Talking Northwest is like talking about my second hometown, Wunderlust and 豬先知 summerized very well already.

A few things I like to add:
Columbia Gorge is worth second visit, go down to the Bonneville（sp?) Dam to count some fish, then watch some pre-historic sturgeons, see some windsurfing in HoodRiver, take historic highway 20 on the way back, many waterfalls along the road, you can see the gorge from the top.

Get some micro-brewers while in Portland, Powell's bookstore is a must-see place. There are some nice seafood restaurants, Salty's by the gorge, and Jack's.

Oregon coast is very pretty, Ecola State park near Cannon Beach is one of the best.
