Some Chinese author wrote: A truly thoroughly benevolent (shan4 liang2) person needs no love for he/she is self sufficient and complete. The benevolence in him/her is nourishing enough.

This line rang immediately true to me.  A true story: A few years back, some girl in Hong Kong heard from the News that some middle-aged woman lying in the hospital waiting for a liver(?) transplant. Without the transplant she would die and there was no available source at the moment. The girl picked up the phone and called the hospital ... 

I think she needs no romantic love. Who deserves to provide her with love anyway?
