I am from the opposite side.

The only time I actually plotted to kill someone in my entire life is a plot against PLA, in night of 06/04/1989, the night following the Tiananmen massacre.  

We've transfer all the documents and photo we had  to labs in our department during the day. Then my roommates and I  stayed in our dorm room in BeiDa just to see how PLA would take over BeiDa. We had no weapons, but we had chairs. I had a pair of really sturdy tennis rackets that can smack open human's head. We hid tennis racket in our beds. I wouldn't hesitate to use it that night if someone tried to get in my room.

The PLA never came. In fact, later one PLA soldier I came to know  told me their side of story that surprised me. He told me they were scared to death just walking on the street of Beijing  because they felt the deepest resentment of people around them.   The very people they sworn to protect, their fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters,  became their enemy. When they gazed into the eyes of people of Beijing, all they saw was a deep and sorrowful hatred that burned inside them. It was the worst experience in their life too.
