I suggest you read books not in Chinese
about religion, western culture and history before you jump to your conclusion. Hugh fraction of the documents translated in Chinese are inaccurate at best, misleading at worst. One example I can think of is Bible. There is a big difference in the English edition and the Chinese edition, I am actually thinking I should re-translate the Bible when I retire, even though I am no Christian.
Your point view is based on your knowledge of the East and is misguided about the West. You can make all the excuses about why China can't not make forward progress as a society, it will not help China a bit. If the end goal is to help China, finger pointing or finding fault of the West is not productive at all.
Understand the limit of the West, then find the things that are done better by the West and learn them is the right way to go.
