In Singapore, we all know that there is no democracy at all.
In China, at least from this forum, I feel you don't even like democracy.
In Hong Kong, some people work hard to get democracy but definitely can't compete with Taiwanese people.
I am not saying that democracy is good or even better. I am just saying that we should recognize Taiwanese people's efforts on building one within Chinese community.
Again, no matter you like it or not, we should at least respect their efforts.
