we call our spouse lover -- 回複：新年不要叫老公，老婆的，多俗啊！

I have a friend she is from Taiwan. She said that people from mainland China are very romantic, they call their spouse "lover".

Why we (I come from mainland China) do that:
1. Because we do not have/should not have/do not allowed to have lover but we are romantic so we call our spouse our lover.
2. We think that our spouse is our lover (we are not really romantic at all).
3.We think that if we call our spouse our lover then we will not go out of marriage to seek lover (we are romantic but also responsible).

I think that those communists were very romantic, especially considering the hash environment they had. They were also really happy too. People are happy when they have faith or believe.
