sounds like he is the kind of person who can give her emotional support to get out of the shadow from previous marriage. Maybe because of similar experience, he is aware when a person is betrayed by her spouse, the first thing this person will do is to blame herself, complex emotions went through her, shame, anger, no self-worthness, just name a few. And I think he probably is aware some of her responsibilities in her failed marriage, but he is focusing on boosting her selt-esteem, so he can pull her out of the deep hole. He seems to be a good friends, someone she particular need at that point in her life.
