巴山道中除夜有懷-崔塗  On New Year's Eve - Cui Tu


迢遞三巴路， Three Ba's road is turning out of scene;

羈危萬裏身。 Thousands of parlous miles I am traveling.

亂山殘雪夜， In this snowed night and wild mountains,

孤燭異鄉春。 Here is a lone candle and a foreign spring.

漸與骨肉遠， So apart from my darling,

轉於僮仆親。 Let servants be my kin.

那堪正飄泊， How I can bear such life drifting,

明日歲華新。 With New Year just at tomorrow morning.
