我的眼與我的心立下了山盟海誓，
從此以後彼此之間定要相互扶持：
當我的眼熱望得見那驚鴻的一瞥，
或當心與哀歎相戀使他自己窒息，
我的眼用我愛人的圖像飽享宴飲，
並邀請我的心作畫中筵席的佳賓；
另一回我的眼睛成為我心的客人，
並在他的愛的情思裏麵享有一份。
這樣不論因為我的愛或你的照片，
你我相距雖遠仿佛你仍在我身邊；
因為你不會比我的思緒走得更遠，
而我與他們一起且他們與你相牽。
或者，他們若睡去，但眼前的美圖
喚醒我心，使得心與眼一同歡娛。

And each doth good turns now unto the other:
When that mine eye is famish'd for a look,
Or heart in love with sighs himself doth smother,
With my love's picture then my eye doth feast,
And to the painted banquet bids my heart;
