The results are certainly opposite to what one would expect.

D4 and D800 should both have the latest Nikon technology, but D4's pixels is more than twice as big, and D4 is also twice as expensive, so D4 should have better dynamic range.

If I have to bet, I would bet these testers got it wrong instead of Nikon got its products backward.
