Newborn Puppy Has an Epic Journey Home

During one woman’s 5 month stay in India, she found a newborn pup. For some reason, his mother abandoned him. She discovered him whimpering and alone in a mushroom patch; his umbilical cord was still attached.

So this wonderful girl took him in and nursed him daily, using goat’s milk to give him nutrients. Little Kaalan (which means “mushroom”) began to grow… and so did his world travels.

A tiny, newborn puppy with his umbilical cord still attached was found in a mushroom patch.

He was whimpering and starving; the woman who found him decided to save him.

The goat’s milk she found did the trick… and he was beginning his journey.

She named him Kaalan (which means mushroom).

For the longest time the only things he did was eat and sleep.

His new mommy couldn’t complain though, he was adorable.

Every day Kaalan was growing healthier. Soon he almost weighed a pound.

The adorable polar bear puppy was growing so big.

After three whole weeks, Kaalan opened his eyes.

His mommy took him to the local vet (which usually treats roosters and goats).

Once he was stable and healthy, Kaalan started to go on road trips.

Thankfully, he could still take lots of naps.

The little puppy grew up so fast.

But before he was full grown, this traveling dog saw the Nilgiri Mountain.

A tea plantation.

Varkala beach.

(Where he was very popular.)

He went to a 3D movie (complete with movie snacks).

Kaalan even experienced his first bar.

The puppy swam in the Arabian sea.

He also met some elephants.

And most importantly, he spent some quality time with his mom at the pool.

She had to take him to Delhi where Kalaan had to be cleared by a quarantine officer for the trip back to North America.

He passed, but that meant he would have to spend 40 hours in a crate away from his mom.

The blissful reunion in Toronto.

Now, the world traveler is all grown up, keeping his mom company in Canada.

Kaalan’s rescue story is epic, but we’re just glad he survived his first few hours as an abandoned stray
