Autopsy confirms body is missing Purdue mom
The Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office has confirmed that the body found in a pond near the Purdue University campus is 52-year-old Jinhua Liu.
The coroner is currently working to identify the body. It was found on the south side of Purdue's campus near the Animal Disease Diagnostic lab.
Fox59 News has been told the coroner is meeting with the family of 52-year-old Jinhau Liu. According to a news release, Liu was last seen about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the Purdue Village Apartments. Liu had been staying with her son and daughter-in-law. The couple told police they left her at their apartment but she was not there when they returned at 9:30 p.m.
The couple called police around 11 p.m. Police say Liu may have been upset at the time she disappeared. It is not clear yet if the body that has been found is Liu.
