今天晚上聽了meg whitman在winning加州republican primary for governor 後給的victory speech，其中她的speech裏有這麽一句：It's time for a different style of leadership. A new beginning. Not glitz, not glamour, not glibness, but guts. A governor with the guts to do the hard work required to turn California around!
也讓我想起了裏拉寫過的it‘s time for guts and guile。不論是guts and guile，還是not glitz, not glamour, not glibness, but guts， 都有g重複。這在英文上叫alliteration。我在那首年輕女孩和六七十歲的男人親昵裏也好幾次用了這種技巧。
